While speaking to director Rich Moore about Wreck-It Ralph’s DVD/Blu-ray (read our review!), we got on the subject of a potential sequel and some big hints were dropped about where the storyline could go.
Our discovery of the Wreck-It Ralph sequel idea being kicked around was unintentionally discovered at first. We had wanted to ask Moore specifically about Ralph’s world and if other Fix It Felix, Jr. arcade games have Ralphs who’s personalities are the same as the character in the movie.
“That is so funny that you ask that,” Moore said with a laugh, “because I was just talking to John C. Reilly [the voice of Ralph] and we were talking about exactly that. Are there other Ralphs? What would happen if another Fix It Felix, Jr. game was plugged in? Are there other Ralphs that are more contemporary? Is there another version of the game that was made for mobile? Ok, so... Disney released another "game changers" video featuring many of the cameos that gonna appear in the movie; so far... knowing it's not the whole thing there, a part of me got really happy 'cuz at the end of this video, showing a brief part of the ending party, the bell rings and Felix says "I guess that's Mario... a few minuts late*, part of the norm..."
And well, with the hand on my heart and the sanity capacities of mine, allow me to say this made me really happy... Even when the appear of Bowser clearly states, that no matter unseen, Mario franquise exists in the movie reality... this special part makes me think the producers maybe are saving a cameo of him for the ending, and making us all believe he wasn't be there, in order to make the surprise a bigger one XD In anyway,

In a GamerHubVideos interview posted onto YouTube on October 25, 2012, director Rich Moore says that he and Disney have ideas about a sequel that would bring the characters up to date and explore online gaming and home gaming.

I told everyone in school my idea of Venellope meeting Missing.no, since they'e two of the most epic glitches ever. That would be hilarious. I hope there's some sort of pokemon reference in the sequel.
