:hooray: ENGLISH…

While speaking to director Rich Moore about Wreck-It Ralph’s DVD/Blu-ray (read our review!), we got on the subject of a potential sequel and some big hints were dropped about where the storyline could go.

Our discovery of the Wreck-It Ralph sequel idea being kicked around was unintentionally discovered at first. We had wanted to ask Moore specifically about Ralph’s world and if other Fix It Felix, Jr. arcade games have Ralphs who’s personalities are the same as the character in the movie.

“That is so funny that you ask that,” Moore said with a laugh, “because I was just talking to John C. Reilly [the voice of Ralph] and we were talking about exactly that. Are there other Ralphs? What would happen if another Fix It Felix, Jr. game was plugged in? Are there other Ralphs that are more contemporary? Is there another version of the game that was made for mobile? Are there those kind of Super Smash Brothers types games where all the characters are gathered in a fighting game? What would that be like for Ralph to come face to face with those different iterations of himself? And it’s created some really cool conversations, so I think that that is so funny you bring up because it’s something we’re playing around with right now.”

We then asked him if that would be what the sequel could explore. “I’m at the point right now where it’s kind of hard to answer that question because we’re thinking about it right now and it’s a very very interesting story,” referring to the potential different versions of Ralph. “It’s a complex issue that would make for a very interesting storyline. I really appreciate you bringing it up, because it means we’re not the only ones thinking about it.”

There’s already been lots of talk about the cast and crew’s hope for a sequel, and at this point it’s all but greenlit by Disney.

The most exciting aspect of a Wreck-It Ralph 2 is that, if it moves forward, it’ll be the first Disney animated theatrical sequel since the 1990 film The Rescuers Down Under (*).

Moore and his team, including lead voice actors John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman, are all very interested in a follow-up. Given this, plus Wreck-It Ralph’s staggering $428 million box office tally, it looks like it’s only a matter of time until Disney gives it their blessing.

I must say... I like where this is coming to ='D
(*Also, that's wrong... The 2011 Winnie Pooh Movie was kind of sequel too LOL)

I would love to see them accidentally jump online and find Steam especially Valve games. Ralph and Heavy meeting XD and then Engineer meets Felix and they swap their golden wrench and hammer.

That's pretty ace if they're thinking about the oddities of having multiple cabinets of the same games plugged in. Which gets me to thinkin, the new arcade cabinets have like, 30 games programmed in them or cartridges with multiple games (ie Namco museum), so what'd happen if a Tobikomi collection hit Litwaks with multiple worlds in it?

The Annies are the ones who really matters if you ask me, Oscars is not THAT relevant for animation... at least that's what I think XD
And yeah, people loving this movie is what matters the MOST XD
